    There's probably some background that I'm missing.

    I've actually wanted to try both of these companies new 10mm offerings. Springfield made an Omega Match in the late 80's early 90's. It was a very accurate gun. But, in reality is was only a Springfield 1911 frame. The top end was made by Peter Stahl in Germany (ironically to the video). At the time I looked at SIG for their 10mm, all I found then was a SAO variant. When I think of SIG, I think DA/SA, not SAO.
