The Eyes of Texas and the college football world will be on Waco during prime time TV this coming Saturday at 6:30 CT. The Boomin' Sooners will be Deep in the Heart of Texas, which is Waco, in an effort to dismantle the Baylor Bears that have somehow beat the NCAA Death Kneel and are back to being a top 10 contender...unbelievable that they have risen from the ashes in only six years when it has taken SMU 37 years. Yes, it is not only the NCAA, CFP, ESPN, and AP pollster members that JUST loves the BIG-12, NOT!!!!!!! Remember that you heard it here first!
Don't miss this game as it will be the third ESPN College Game Day in Waco, and Baylor just might have a surprise for Oklahoma despite their 9 point underdawg status.

Isn't that the truth! It really should be a good game...no, GREAT! should the big kids play up to their potential. While Jalen Hurts is the biggest threat that the Sooners have, QB Charlie Brewer is no slouch, although he is not a dual threat like Hurts nor does he have the completion percentage or efficiency. Brewer is more like LSU's Burrow. As far as defense goes, Baylor has the slightest edge according to one pre-season report where returning 2019 starters are ranked, which puts a number of BIG-12 teams ahead of the vast majority of other conferences in this department as well - hence the conference teams beating themselves up in mostly close games. Ohio State certainly has a great defense as well. Minnesota is great on offense, but their D needs work.
I have long believed that strong defensive teams cannot be fielded year after year anymore due, in part, to an overabundance of talented players, who do not want to sit the bench for two to three years and, perhaps, more. Cases in point, QB's Jeff Burrow's transfer from Ohio State to LSU, and Buchele's transfer from Texas to SMU, who helped put his team back on the map. Add to that the big number of Bama players that opt for the pros early, and there is no shortage of recruits for them. And it doesn't just happen to Bama, either!
If you were in the SEC you'd be ranked just below Vanderbilt.
May have to record it -- Raiders will play TCU at the same time
Maybe I won't record that game -- Texas is the underdog against Iowa at that time and I love to watch them lose 8-)
That's going to be another whale of a game...Texas Tech and TCU!
Texas Tech might very well be the best 4 win team in the nation, and their foe this weekend, TCU, is likely the other best 4 win team in college football today. Both teams would more than likely win their bowl games provided they can win two more games The Red Raiders have to win 2 out of 3 against TCU, K-State, and Texas, (Whew!), while TCU must win 2 out of 3 against the Red Raiders, Oklahoma, and WVA. That's a tall order for both teams with TCU probably having the better chance...but TT remains hot and might surprise.
Back in those days they scrimmaged the University of Tennessee football team. TSD was actually on Tennessee's 1905 schedule. Tennessee won 16 - 6. Not bad for a high school team.
