Today, there will be a big Win 10 update. It is supposed to be very stable and clean, but you'd be wise to set a restore point on your 'pooter - just in case. Go to Control Panel, click SYSTEM, and then System Protection, then Set a Restore Point. You can name your restore point; I called mine Before Nov Update.
I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

This 1909 update is a lot smaller and quicker than the 1903 feature update was. That one took 30 minutes to an hour and a half. This one took 10 minutes or less. That is good since I do side work (I.T.) and tonight I'll be installing this update a lot. I miss the old days of downloading the file and running it via command. Now, without an update server, it takes me forever. But, I get paid by the hour on my side work so I don't care as much.

My desktop, which I am using now because I need 3 screens (a fourth would be useful if it could be supported) runs 8.1. One of my laptops uses 10, so I guess I'll have to pull it out of the drawer, turn it on, and run the update. It seems like every time I run and install an update, the computer never works as well as it did before the update :x

hillbillie, not having the updates is like not having a lock on your front door. You should find out why your machine can't complete them and fix it.

Rocky, I was going to give him the same advice. While Windows 10 can be quite pushy, most updates are good. It is ALWAYS a good idea to try to keep things up to date. Update the BIOS from the manufacturers website, keep your browser(s) up to date (Firefox, Chrome, etc) and of course anti-virus.

Being a desktop, unless it is one of those really tiny ones, you should be able to add a video card (or two) for additional screens. If it has USB 3 (or above) another alternative is to use a "USB video card" to add extra monitors. These never work for any real gaming (short of Thunderbolt setups), but if you are just doing spreadsheets, browsing, etc they work great. They can work on USB 2 also, but with lower resolution and quality. I don't remember if it is kosher to post links to outside websites but since it isn't direct competition to GB, I'll go ahead. We have used both Plugable and StarTech with good success. I am not suggesting these specifically, it's more just show you what they are if you are interested. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+video+card&i=electronics&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 The USB method would work on your laptop as well. Also, there are docking stations and/or port replicators available for laptops to give you more inputs and/or outputs.
