yep I'm surprised how many of those there are [white with black patches] I thought all cats were one breed or another. pretty common and I never noticed. (not like I was paying attention, never cared about cats, I'm a dog guy)

We ( wife ) has always had a cat or two . over time about every color and combination .
Lilly ( the one that looks similar to yours ) has some brown and black patches around her head a all white body and her tail is all calico looks like it belongs to a different cat . the rest of the cats range from orange , gray , calico , long hair short hair .. truly a Heinz pack of assorted cats :D
we have 4 dogs all were rescued in some form or other also
not counting the ducks , chickens , turkeys ,
oh cant leave out we supporting 4 skunks 4 opossums and a few raccoons who mooch the dry cat food .
the skunks eat right along with the cats, possums do the same . The * learned to not screw with the skunks ..
for the most part the skunks do not feel threatened by us or the cats so no spraying ;););) .
now the dogs a different story the skunks got one of the dogs early spring  so I make sure they do not come in contact .
my wife has a huge heart when it comes to animals , so as long they do not cause much trouble I am to leave them alone

Speaking of cats we took in 2 feral stray kittens this past week. Not sure what happened to the mother or the rest of the litter. These 2 new guys are currently in quarantine and going through a de briefing in the spare bedroom. They haven't seen the other 2 cats yet but their some what suspicious and they know something is going on.

I recently learned something new about cats. Did you know that 99% of all calico's are female? Did you know that 99% of all those yellow "tabby" striped cats are males? :o

busch, what did you name him? A laser pointer will burn off some of that excess energy. Just be careful not to him him in the eyes, or off a reflective surface that might. And just because you can make the red dot go up the wall to the ceiling, doesn't mean they can't chase it all the way up there.
Had to bury my lap warmer today, she was just a couple months short of 20yrs, that's a good run for a cat.

If you find one of those 1% cats that aren't sterile, you just hit the jackpot.

Sorry to hear about your fur buddies passing Trap55. My late great uncle had a cat he called "*-Nasty" who lived around his farm a full 25 years! I had gone a very long time without paying my uncle a visit. About a span of 10 to 15 years. I could not believe that old cat was still alive when I made it up his way to see him and my aunt!

It seems that most cats have lifespans that about double or double and a half of what our poor K-9 friends get to spend with us.
My wife adopted a still nursing kitten about a year and a half ago. The mother had been hit by a car and her very little one palm sized yellow tabby finished his weaning on my wife's lap with a bottle. The county animal shelter where she got him had already given him a name. They called the little guy "Jr." , and it fit him so well he is stuck with it!

I have been a dog guy all of my life but Jr. has warmed my heart!
I get a real kick getting out of bed in the morning. I squeeze myself out and upright then hit the light to find my bathrobe. When I turn around and look at my bed, there's a very large Golden Retriever, a mid sized French Basset hound, and a cat, all snuggled together! OH, and my wife hanging on the very edge! If my bedroom was bigger I'd sure enjoy a king sized bed someday! :)

when it was a kitten I thought it was a girl kitty. it grew up some and now you can tell it's a boy kitty. so I named him Zorro.

Zorro fits, he's wearing his mask.
G/F and I were laughing about a chiropractic article, saying how a majority of people with back problems, got that way from pets taking over the bed! Her mutt "owns" the bed, burrows under the blanket down to your feat, wiggles her fat butt around until she's on her back spread eagle, then snores all night like a jackhammer.
