Anyone know of a really good assembly/dis-assembly manual for a post Winchester model 70.
I need to take some bolts completely apart (completely strip) the bolts and remove the safety lever and change some firing pins and safety levers.
I've searched on-line but do not the any info about complete stripping of the bolt assembly.
I thought I had a NRA magazine on file about such, but I was wrong.

Okay, while writing this I decided to see how well I could make copies from the book. Seems I have a better copier than I thought and the copies turned out okay. Send me a private e-mail and I'll mail them to you.
I guess you can private message me here through the system.
PM sent
Sorry for the delayed return.
I'm not getting email notifications to my posts even though I have subscribed for such????
I got your info printed about taking the bolt apart and a PM sent to scout5.
I'm trying to determine what parts I need to fix a Post Winchester 70 push feed LA bolt that the safety lever wants to be at rest forward of the 90 degree mid way safe position. When the safety lever is place on fire all the way forward then pulled back towards the 90 degree safe position the safety lever wants to be at home or rest about midway BACK towards the 90 degree position.
In this slightly forward position of safe the gun's firing pin will fall if the trigger is pulled and then the safety push to fire.
I have another bolt (from another Model 70) that works perfect in this gun. (safety works perfect and the headspace is perfect) I'm going to be swapping parts from the good bolt to the unsafe bolt so as trying to determine if the issue with the unsafe bolt is the firing pin or the safety lever.
The trigger overtravel, etc is adjusted perfect. The safety lever due to not wanting to rest in the 90 degree safe position does not quite pull the firing pin back far enough to release the trigger sear en-gaugement to the safe position. If the safety lever is placed further back into the normal 90 degree position all is ok.
Anyone have any tips or experience with such on a Model 70 bolt or know what part is probably worn?
I tinker and repair my own guns. (so no liability issues here)
If it were someone else's gun I would tell them to take it too a gunsmith.
