got to pick up some things for deer camp next week, dang a hundred dollar bill don't go very far.......didn't even get everything on the list still need ice, beer, and propane for the heater, them old deer cost more every year, if it wasn't for the beer, poker and the lies with the friends I may have just stayed home... ;)

    Yeah, I probably spent $300 on stuff for deer camp, just to shoot 2 does. On top of that, I spent $200 having them processed because standing for the length of time it would take to process and wrap for freezing, my knees would be killing me. Had a helluva good time with my hunting buddies, drinking adult beverages, telling hunting tales, spittin' in the campfire, and overeating!
    One really good thing was one of the deer went to a charity that feeds the needy. :) I'll go back a few times before the season ends to try for the big buck I saw the morning I left.

    fellowship with good friends can't be bought is what I have to remind myself of when I think about what I spend on hunting

    About the same as fishing! If you were to add up all of the expenses including the state licenses and the gas and everything else, you'd get a lot more meat or fish for your money spent at the supermarket! :shock:

    But Hell, what's the fun of that! :lol:
