If you Cook Bacon

You should check this out. I have always just fried it up in a pan but this ol boy deep fries it and it takes just a few minutes to do a whole pound if you need that much and it comes out great. Man a pound of bacon, a big ripe tomato, some good bread, and mayo and I can die and go to heaven. Oh oh I forgot the lettuce.:mrgreen:

I don't deep fry anything. My microwave has a bacon mode. Just tap in how many slices and go. I lay my slices out on several paper towels, with one on top to catch spatters. Comes out perfect every time, and all I have to do is toss the paper towels. Bonus: it heats my plate at the same time.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

I've left bacon grease in the skillet and cooked more bacon in it. It cooks faster and is dang good.

The only disturbing thing I see is the part where he says "we have three or four guests and plenty of bacon for everyone".....when I see a single serving of bacon on that plate!:lol::lol:

I've been putting it on a cookie sheet and putting it in the oven. I don't like the splatter when cooking it on the stove top and the bacon cooks up like normal when you put it in the oven.

Reminds me of my grandmother cooking breakfast for a house full of people. Just leave the grease in the skillet until all the bacon is fried, followed by the round sliced potatoes. Add enough grease in the skillet to slosh over a half dozen or so eggs...no need to turn them over, plate, repeat a couple of times. Serve the bacon and eggs on platters piled high along with hot biscuits, butter, and jam plus coffee...and you're good to go. Those were the days!
    What's next?

You guys really should give cooking them in water a try. Seriously. Do a Google search on it. I am a so-so cook and I can make perfect bacon this way (and without burning myself). Basically you put just enough water in to cover the bacon. It will keep it moist, keep it from splattering, and as the water burns off, you can let it burn clear off for crispy bacon, or if you are like me, I like it just before it gets crispy. If you hold bacon sideways, I don't like it solid like a board, nor like a wet noodle. I like it in between and I can fairly consistently cook it that way with this method.
