Just got this beautiful Sako and noticed "FLAIG'S" on the barrel just above the caliber. It kind of rung a bell so I googled it and it turns out they were a big time custom shop in Penn. back in the 50's through the 90's when the old man died. I just read where he was a NAZI sympathizer but one hell of a gunsmith. He used only Douglas barrels and this one is marked on the bottom under the wood "PREMIUM and dated 3-27-63. There is an old Redfield 3x9 in Sako rings. Gonna try to get her listed tonight. I also picked an old Sharps rifle in .45/110.

Back in the day, Flaigs was the outfit to do your barrel job. He has probably done countless thousands of barrel jobs on '98 mausers and jap actions. He always had an in most of the gun mags back then. Flaigs Ace Millvale PA.
