The government has no rights. Only the people have rights which empowers the government.
We have enough gun laws, what we need is IDIOT control.

if these responses to America protecting ourselves carries no weight against our muslim congress members and the idiots that vote for them, then there is a divide in our country that cannot be healed....time to be AMERICAN or NOT......

A much as the Democrats despise and hate Trump, utilizing every method available (with help from the media) I believe he was correct in NOT advising Dems in Congress of plans beforehand. For certain, they would have spilled the beans to the media or maybe direct phone calls to 'over there.'

He is NOT like Obama that announced to the whole world military actions weeks/months ahead.

The demonRATS would have tipped off the sand scum just to make Trump look bad and fail.

The rats have shown their hand.

Before nation building and The United Nations,Congress use to declare War First but hell Japan was the first nation state terrorist group to ignore that little formality, and we followed suit and even let them have their big red meat-ball back on their flag! It's called police UN actions now. Since Britain and The US were the main founders of The NWO establishment to bring peace and prosperity to all. Just didn't trickle down enough and The oligarchy lost control for now but ounce the 1% get hammered on trade and commerce then look for new proposals to gain teeth and ground. But more Taxes on the super wealthy to make it happen however.

    Sorry, you are incorrect.

United States President Thomas Jefferson, in 1801, did not go thru Congress when he sent the Marines to Tripoli to kill off the muslime pirates.
    ;)

That was naval action only against pirates with some marines.President Trump had no action with congress to use force against mainline Nations like Iran. He is playing a deadly game That could explode badly. The USA stay how long in Japan and Germany after winning the war? Congress is at fault here not Trump.

, Congress passed the ?Act for Protection of Commerce and Seamen of the United States against the Tripolitan Corsairs.? This act authorized an expanded force to ?subdue, seize and make prize of all vessels, goods and effects, belonging to the , or to his subjects.?

    https://www.kaine.senate.gov/press-releases/kaine-and-young-introduce-bill-to-repeal-1991_2002-aumfs-formalizing-end-of-gulf--iraq-wars

This bill is an effort to prevent the future misuse of the expired Gulf and Iraq War authorizations and strengthen Congressional oversight over war powers. For years, Kaine has been the leading voice in Congress raising concerns over the use of military force without congressional authorization. He has introduced updated authorizations for the use of military force and pushed for the repeal of outdated AUMFs to reassert Congress? role in authorizing military action and take away the blank check that multiple Presidents have used to fight wars across the globe.
