Now I wonder after having fought and winning are we going to stay in Iraq? It's another Vietnam and soon they will come up with a peace treaty, so we can leave with honor. Oh wait they already done that! It's really getting old, even for the all volunteer Military Forces here in the USA to keep swallowing this crap from our leaders!

Maybe some more in house training will convince the Muslims we are on their side!

The US-led coalition said there were no US soldiers present at the base during the attack, which has hosted US trainers, advisers and a company that provides maintenance services for F-16 aircraft.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions between the US and Iran following the US assassination of a top Iranian commander in Baghdad and Iran's retaliatory missile strikes against US targets in Iraq.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo condemned the attack on Sunday .

BAGHDAD, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Iraqi camp Taji north of Baghdad was targeted by Katyusha rockets on Tuesday, with no casualties reported, an Iraqi military statement said.

The U.S.-led military coalition fighting Islamic State said on Tuesday that no troops were affected in the attack.

"No Coalition troops were affected by this small attack at Taji Base," coalition military spokesman Colonel Myles Caggins III said in a tweet.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

These are not long range rockets these are fired from within Iraq. They were probably fired by the same terrorists who attacked the embassy and shot rockets at the other base killing a contractor in Erbil.
