We Argue While Richmond Burns

I put every thing I had into defeating King Cuomo and his henchmen in Albany and I failed. Three men met in a closed room in the dead of night and jammed the NY Safe (unsafe)Act of 2013 down our Legislators throat without public input. I had hoped to escape the Yoke of Oppression that the Tyrant Andrew Cuomo had placed on my fellow gunners with the Safe Act. Because of conditions beyond my control I am forced to sit tight in this Socialist state of NY. A few years ago my wife had a stroke and had a very bad fall, my son a ME is unemployed and my little dog was very sick. I had hoped to make it home to Fluvanna, Co. Virginia but now the Cancer from this state has spread to Va. By some estimates their were approx. 50,000 AR style weapons registered in this state out of almost one million. Neither the Supt. of State Police or Gov. Cuomo will release the figures.

Tomorrow at 8:00AM in the General Assembly Building, House Room 1, 900 E. Main St., Richmond, Va. the House Public Safety Committee will be hearing House Bill 961 that outlaws millions of semi-automatic firearms. HB 961 is the Crown Jewel in the Northam-Bloomberg gun ban agenda. Millions of Virginians will become felons if they refuse to turn over their guns or register them with the government. HB 961 is a comprehensive ban on many commonly-owned semi-auto firearms, suppressors, and standard capacity mags. Ban also extends to any part that could be used to change a firearm into a banned configuration. Bill also imposes a licensing and registration scheme for citizens who wish to keep affected firearms they lawfully owned prior to the ban. It forces law-abiding citizens to pay a govt tax to keep their own property and creates a pathway for confiscation. This is the end goal of Michael Bloomberg when he bought Virginia Governor , Ralph Northam. From what I understand so far unlike the Safe Act you as a resident of Va. have no options to dispose of your personal property.

Please, if you can make it to the General Assembly Building tomorrow, go! Gunners in Va. will love you. If someone on the forum can provide a link to the Virginia House Public Safety Committee members I would be very grateful as I don't know how. Maybe we could light up their phones. Thank you.--------------Ray

What i dont get is why your implying trump is anti gun because of the bump stocks going away? Cmon seriously we all knew it was a matter of time before the ATF banned those things anyhow.

You own a bump stock, fine i don't have a problem with that. I thought they were history. I always considered them junk and a terrible waste of good ammo. A bump stock and AR style firearm are two different animals. I don't own a AR but if someone tries to take your AR from you, I will defend your right to keep it with my life. While we are arguing about bump stocks, which I don't give a rat's * about, the gunners in Virginia are suffering and need all the help they can get. My heart aches for them.

My good friend and neighbor just informed me that HB 961 just passed Safety Committee 12 to 9. Goes to house now I think. Sad day for gunners in Va.
