If y'all would start washing your hands so that the stock market quits tanking, that'd be great.

WHO has bump the death rate to almost 3.4% now! And we don't know if it dies off in Summer time yet,if it does not then The USA is in for at least 200,000 deaths this year if it goes to a pandemic size considerable more than the normal flu. The Red Chinese are liars on their death rates. I say it was designed by The Chinese and it got out some how. WHO will never admit it however.

WHO says coronavirus death rate is 3.4% globally, higher than previously thought?

This is a unique virus, with unique features. This virus is not influenza,” Tedros said Monday. “We are in uncharted territory.”

The nursing home seems to have taken the same approach of several here, that the warnings were all overblown and it was all just a Democrat hoax. Nothing to be concerned about. It's all just a game.
Residents paid with their lives, a fire station is undergoing disinfection, and is taken out of action while the crews are in quarantine,  the resultant spread is all the way to the East coast, and there are another 100 folks under observation with at least 50 of them ill.

    Good thinking.........

What evidence do you have to levy such an accusation?  You think they've been cavalier?  How do you know?

You don’t honestly think anyone said the virus was a hoax. Why would you propogate such nonsense?

The only hoax I have heard mentioned was a political reference accusing the government of not reacting to the virus. As I have stated the virus has probably been here for months because the Chinese didn't make the world aware of the problem until it was to late for the travel bans to be effective. If someone had flu symptoms and died 2 months ago it could have been corona virus but was attributed to the flu. With 80% of the infected only having mild cold like symptoms there could be thousands of cases in the U.S.  Wash your hands and stay away from crowds and you will probably get through this just like any flu season. The average American investor in the market, has confidence when the market is high, so he buys high.  Then he panics when it drops and sells low.  The perfect recipe for loss.  Investing in stocks is a long term proposition.  Over the longer haul it has paid well.  When it tanks, I buy.

Certain things would have occurred as a matter of course if the facility had been monitoring,  investigating, and controlling an apparent outbreak of communicable disease in a vulnerable population.

Wouldn't have mattered if they known that the cause was Covid19, or not, this is the middle of the influenza season and a heightened awareness of what was going on would have been appropriate.

In other words, you have exactly nothing to support your accusation.

Well. sir,  you're going to have to decide what song you will sing.

Either the facility did meet the recognized standards for monitoring, investigating, and controlling (preventing) the transmission of communicable disease, or they did not.

If they did, the significant adverse outcomes experienced demonstrates that Covid19 is not a minor issue , and that it has a virulence far beyond that of influenza.

If they did not……well, what you see in Kirkland is exactly what you should expect when clinical standards and CDC recommendations are ignored.

     So which is it ?

If the standards were ignored, and the recommendations as well, was the facility negligent in not knowing what to do, or choosing not to do it,  or just incredibly stupid in thinking there was no significant threat at hand ?

Or do you have another explanation ?

I see you're well entrenched in the correlation equals causation camp.  You have produced exactly no evidence. Have fun with that pet fallacy of yours.
