A fellow stopped to see me today to say thanks and update me on his progress related to deer hunting.
Last spring when I had my first knee replaced the therapist that done my home therapy wanted to get geared up for deer hunting. He had a 30-06 Ruger bolt action rifle that a deceased uncle had left him and needed a scope. I made some recommendations and when he bought a scope I gave him a set of rings and loaned him a scope mounting set so he could get it set up. He also wanted to start bow hunting. Besides advice and encouragement I gave him a box of 30-06 ammo and a new set of 6 broad-heads.
He just stopped by a little bit ago. He wanted to let me know he had harvested a buck with a bow using the broad-heads I gave him along with a little advice on set up. I was glad to see him and know he had stuck with it long enough to obtained some success. We have another voting convert to add to our hunting heritage.
