eating a squirrel across the creek in a field to the north of us. I took a picture, but they are so far away you can't really see them very well.
BTW, we are in west central Ohio.

There was a nest just in Putnam County, near Suter's.
I've seen them around there several times.
    Are you close to there?

We're about 25 miles south of Celina and Grand Lake. I suspect these eagles may be from around that lake. I know there are some nests up there. We see them down here once or twice a year. There's another active nest down in Dayton also.

Last year I had a * set out for the buzzards that depend on me to keep them fed. I looked out and there were about a dozen buzzards just standing around one in the middle eating on the *. Then it raised it's head and I realized it was an eagle. The buzzards just waited their turn. :)

there is suppose to be a pair by the river by one of my nephews place but I have not see them other than photos
about 40 miles south of us carillon park ( just a bit south of Dayton Oh .)  they have a pair they have camera(s) on every year  that keep coming back to nest
lot of people follow on face book ?  sad a few years ago the  newly hatched young eagle just learning to fly with in a few weeks  was hit with a semi trailer and killed ,   the eagle was too low crossing the interstate  and was hit .  its about a 1/4 or 1/2 mile away from the nest area in the park

We live on a pretty good sized lake here in Wisc.  About this time of the year maybe 3  years ago I watched an eagle catch a duck in one of the thawing pot holes and literally pluck out the breast feathers for about an 1/2 hour before eating it ;)
