friday morning, went to physical therapy spent hour got to talking with therapist about fishing/hunting he ask me If I had carry permit, as he was thinking of getting one. got to thinking in parking lot it had been a while since looked at it so pulled it out and it expired first day of febuary, I had my hip replacement the 28th of january and forgot completly about getting it renewed. so stopped at courthouse on way home lady gave me a new application told her what happened and ask if I had to go through all the BS again since it expired, she said no just fill out form and return it with money.

got home and there was a renewal in mailbox for my boat, I looked all over the house couldn't find my tax receipt to get boat renewal so back to courthouse to get a copy, the lady asked me if I had been in earlier and I said yes to get permit renewed, she asked if I had my application and I said I left it at house because signature needed a notary public, she said they could do that.  so I grabbed a new application filled it out gave it back with my money and had new picture taken, she said it would be in mail withing the week.  Next stop DMV to get boat liscence sticker, I have never seen the place that full almost not an empty chair and best I could count in my hour+ wait was 128 chairs.  finally got to window gave lady my tax receipt, renewal notice and less than 5 minutes walked out with new sticker, she was as nice as could be only hassle was the wait but I guess thats what you get for going on a first of the month friday...........   but I am now legal all the way around again, on dirt or water

+1 but all 3 gov't workers were as nice and polite as could be, and the one lady who did carry permits went out of her way to get it notorized to save me a trip back down to courthouse. from the way the folks on here talk no one who works for any state/county/federal govt does their job, or does it correctly.  I could say nothing but nice things about all 3 ladies I had to deal with...
