I got dry powder but I'm sitting on the sidelines, I don't have time to put it back unless it came back in less than a year or so. Not looking good right now but who knows.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Burned for years, I'm now very conservative. Happy with retaining my nickels and dimes. While everyone else was gloating over 15%-30% gains, I've been happy with a steady 6% ...

I got out of stock market after 2008 fiasco. Purchased property. Rental property has been over 13% every yr. sometimes more. Purchase properties for repair and flip 30% up. Sure I pay capital gains but who cares making money. You always hear folks say..hey you have to pay taxes on the lottery if you hit it. So what ?? Now the rental properties have appreciated since then and sure I will pay some capital gains..   I ran my own destiny of the end gain to retirement. Hard assets not ink on paper.

I had never heard that term but I did try it. I thought GE had dropped as much as it was going to. :(
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

Dire situation. Japan and other countries want us to bail them out and we cannot barely save our own economy. First time in history London would not buy our 30 yr bonds that are under 1%.  10 yr bonds are at .50%. Dire situation. This will have an effect for a long time.

Ever ice skated on a pond and heard the ice crack? It's the chase that matters not the price you pay? Let's bet the farm, with our

Jackson said that instead, the government should shower its favors — as heaven does its rain — on the high and low alike, on the rich and the poor equally.

Jackson’s veto of the bank bill may have cost him votes among the wealthy, but it earned him votes among the common people, like farmers and laborers. He easily won re-election in November of 1832.
