be prepared to maybe not get back.  My son teaches at WVU and they started spring break, him and his wife were gonna take a roadtrip to midwest, just drive till got tired then get hotel, ect. the school told all the faculty if you leave the state you will have to self quarantine for 3 weeks when you get back. also the local elementary school were telling the kids this, my grandkids were gonna go to north carolina with their dad for 2 weeks, divorce deal, now not sure if they will be allowed back in school when they get back.  I told my daughter, and son I would be more afraid the national emergency may increase in next few weeks to the point they may not be allowed to return from wherever they are if things get worse, gotta wonder if each state would block or limit travel in and out.?????

And just how would they enforce that?

No real way to enforce unless you stage sentries on all interstate roads and highways.  Not enough police for that and the NG is going to be spread thin as well.
We need to use self discipline and just stay put till this eases.  If you stay home and we’re wrong, you’re still healthy and have saved money.  If you travel and we’re right, you could be very sick and you’ve spent money that would better be spent on necessities.

I am going to go wherever and not worry about any of this crap. Now the DEM gov. of Illinois shut all schools down in the state for 2 weeks. For what reason? There is NOTHING going on around here. You have a better chance getting shot in Chicago than corona.  Past insane. Murders happening all year by the hundreds and no EMERGENCY there in Chichi go.  The bloated pig had to get his name in the news. Gov. Prickster, you are a sham, complete sham.

I think WV is one of the few states that have no reported cases of the virus.

    How about no gas

There was a reported case in Wheeling WV yesterday. But I don't know if you'd consider that a concern for the rest of WV. I'm not sure if the rest of WV considers that as WV. But yeah WV seems to be the lone hold out. I was in Morgantown yesterday and it was Xmas time busy.

Only one way I know of. Make all cash transactions illegal and monitor all electronic transfers of wealth with people who break any and all edicts by the President

Really? Enacting Marshall Law with no clear evidence that this flu is even as worse or slightly worse than each and every other flu each year.

I read the mortality rate is 3.5% much more seasonal flu with Cov19 Wuhan. That is 250% more if my calculations are right.

Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected

We’ve got our RV just sitting in the yard.  We planned to take a week long trip but we think it’s safer to stay home and not travel.  Even though we are self sufficient in the RV, we’d still have to interact at gas stations and stores along the highways.  And I’m more concerned about highway stops are they’re visited by folks from all over.
    sucks...

I looked online and the flu count in the USA is currently 2,952 with 57 deaths- most of whom were elderly or had underlying medical problems. Obviously there are many time more people with the virus than 2,952, but tens of millions of people contract the regular flu every year, and several thousand of them die. I continue to believe that you and those like you are encouraging the waves of panic which are sweeping across the nation. It's the flu, not the end of the world. What people with the virus should be doing is laying down in bed, drinking a quart of fruit juice along with plenty of bottled water or sports drinks, followed by aspirin and other cold meds to relieve the symptoms.  Thanks to the panic, there are no meds, no bottled water, no juice, and not even enough tissue to blow your nose.

The worse it gets the more you seem encouraged to paint an even bleaker picture.

How many of the unreported cases have died?

How do we know how many cases have been unreported?

If they die, are the cases reported as (attributed to?) the virus?

How many people have died anyway from other cases (reported or unreported) from other causes?  In other words, what percentage of people broadsided by a train have died? - and - how many is that?

To really get down to the statistics, what is the percentage of people currently living that will die? - and - how many has that been in the last month?  Please include those people that have died from the virus.  Also that percentage (all of those that have died as a result of living that died from the virus) would be interesting - statistically speaking.

I've had my supplies in stock for years but I did buy some hand sanitizer  and cleaning supplies 3 weeks ago.I also purchased
Some supplements.I was ahead of the curve for being in crowds during a possible Pandemic is not advisable.
I merely quoted what W.H.O. statistics are on the death rate with COV19  Wuhan compared to a regular flu season.
I also refuse to Drop Wuhan as the source of the this virus pandemic in China. I still sleep at night also.
My grandfather died in 1917 because of the Swine Flu. I don't want it to happen to me either. He got on a
train full of soldiers in WWI .

I'm supposing that you meant the Spanish Flu, which my grandfather (who was in the US Navy) survived. Although you and I disagree, you are a reasonable fellow who is open to discussion. Not only that, you can form complete sentences and use basic punctuation, which in this forum is something of a rarity. As I said in another thread, you are under no threat here in the forum. Carry on.
