I know the employees will get unemployment but at what wage, most restraunts don't pay minimum wage most times just couple bucks an hour, will they count tips in unemployment??  I can see the owners filing for help from gov't, but poor waiters/waitresses are gonna get bent.....

Mass hysteria from the left is my take on it.

A friend of mine owns a restaurant, and hes screwed. Bills, wasted food, insurance, of course taxes, etc. and their own income. The help will receive some Gov help, but no one will come out whole from this.

Um the virus can't get you in the day time?
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Wouldn't be a problem around here. By 9:30 they'd be rollin' up the sidewalks, if we had any.

The way I see it,mass hysteria..so rest/bars have to close or carryout..13 million folks here in Ohio..if 7.5 mill eat out twice a day,
that's 7.5 mill who won't want to go thru drive thrus with 400 other folks to get a big mac..food will fly off the shelf faster than John Wayne paper did..you know John Wayne paper right..1 ply..rough and tough and won't take shciff off nobody...Loko.. ;)

Beyond the fact that our little tin-pot dictator here in Ohio is in way over his head, he is getting his advice from a bunch of left-wing lunatics and never-Trump Rinos.  Just the other day he announced there were at least 100,000 undiagnoised cases of this thing in Ohio.  After a day or two, when folks began to wonder where he got that number, he and his advisors had to admit it was just a "guesstimate."  Responsible people don't SWAG a figure like that!  He's got lots of problems, both personal and political.  First, he suffers from little man syndrome.  Second, he really isn't a Republican but likes to rub elbows with the country club set and the Republican country clubers are the only ones who were willing to give money to support his political ambitions which he uses to escape the little man syndrome.  Third, before he ran for governor, he was attorney general.  While holding that office, there was a family murdered and his office took over the investigation.  It went no where for a year or two but wouldn't you know it, just before he decided to run for govern, his office announce they had solved the case and arrested an entire family, charging that they had committed the murders over a child custody dispute.  The entire county knows that's not the case and so the wanna-be govern had to arrest the county sherriff on charges of corruption to get him out of the way and keep him quiet.  Now little Mikie is going to destroy the state on the advice of a bunch of never-Trumper, pretend Republicans and left-wing lunatic Demoncraps.

I hear drive thru or delivery places are still allowed to operate
but 9:00 pm last night was the official closed until its OK who ever decides that
I do agree with dok2u on several points about our governor
and the family murder issue did seem to come out a lot different than any rumors but they made it end

Our local "casino"/ historic horse racing establishment has shut it's doors for two weeks.  That's quite a bit of money to set aside.  i wonder if their employees are just SOL on pay?

All bars and restaurants are closed in our state except for take out and delivery, how is that going to work with strip clubs?

The thing that just has me confused is where do State governors get the authority to order businesses to close?
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

This will end some businesses permanently. I don’t think many bars can handle being closed for a month nor their employees. No amount of Government assistance is going to help. We will be heading to a recession at a minimum.

Went to Walmart for milk about an hour ago.  Shelves are bare of eggs and yougurt, meat is 90% gone.  Cheese, bread and bulk size cans are going fast.  Thankfully I already carry a several month stock of food but I sure like milk with my Oreo's.  AH CRAP, I forgot to get a case of Oreo's.

The big picture of folks losing income. Car payments, rents , mortgages and credit cards will get interrupted . This will be a snowball effect months from now.

9:00   was just the set time everything would close until the  government Ohio in this case  decides its Ok to reopen
not just closing at 9:00 each night . the casinos , zoos and schools are shut down no gathering of more than a 100 people
sure seems like a test run to see how people react
