Makes me wonder if it is to combat the virus or is it more of a financial decision. A friend was at a casino in Michigan yesterday and said the place was almost empty. She wouldn't have stopped if there were a lot of people but figured with the workers outnumbering the gamblers she would take a chance. Cheaper to close down than to pay all the costs of being open with no customers. Bob
I received an e-mail notifying me the local casino will be closed for two weeks starting today. It also stated one of the employees has tested positive for the virus. It listed the days and hours the employee worked over the last 3 weeks and other public gatherings they have been to. Those gatherings included a local high school band competition, athletic events and a few other places. Seems the person has one or more high school children. Just shows how easy it is for things to spread through the public, which we already knew. Like I've stated, it was here before we even knew we needed to loo for it.
Collapsing the economy over it isn't going to help. However if a business is losing money staying open I can't blame them for closing to reduce those losses.
