Had to put down my Lab

Not having a good day.
Our 11 year old female black Lab "Kimber" had to be put down. Kimber had become Diabetic this past summer. We had to give her two shots a day, and keep her on a strict diet. A few months ago she became blind, and that became an issue also, but we were dealing with it. This morning she could barely come out of her kennel, and could not walk without assistance. She didn't want to eat, and that along with all the other problems caused me to rush her to the Vet. The Vet just called & told us that she has a tumor on her spleen, that was causing her to bleed internally. The Vet said she didn't think she could survive surgery, so we were left with the only option of having her put down. In my opinion there was no sweeter & loving animal. She will be missed and there is a whole now that needs to be patched...

And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
My sympathies to you on your loss . Kimber will be waiting for you at that rainbow bridge when you get there
2 years ago we had to put down our Shepard " Buddy" too many issues just stacked heart issue was the last we did all we could but had to let him go
3 years ago we had our lab "Betsy" one of the best dogs ever "pound rescue" we had several + surgeries to save her but in th end tumors took over .

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Sorry to hear, Trinity.
We went through it a couple of months ago with a companion of 13 years. The sadness goes away soon and you are left with the positive memories.

We lost Daisy earlier this year. She was a sweetheart.
