for today anyway.  Dr's want me to walk as much as possible, cardiologist wants couple miles, but with new hip It hasn't been much more than half to 3/4 of mile. I have tried 3 times today to go down street hoping to get back to the full mile. farthest I have made is 5 houses just now and the sky opened up, I have got rained on all 3 times, so I'm done for the day, guess thats what they made tomorrows for........!@#$%$%$&(&($E@

Walk a pattern in your house if possible. Anything helps. I walk "laps" at work because my back issues bother me when sitting at work all day.

good luck with your recovery......I had hip replacement 3 months ago and got foot drop. I am still not recovered.

After I had some serious back surgery several years ago, my wife bought me a treadmill for my rehab. It was winter here at the time with lots of ice and snow.   I still use it during the bad outside months and she uses it as well.   A good machine to have IMHO!
