I bought a Kubota BX 1870 18hp diesel back in 15 over in Salem,WVa,.had a 48" deck and bucket, which I wanted to clear snow with from two driveways,.it worked well but I had trouble with the removal and remounting of the bucket/arms to the frame,.I used it for 3 years, and then the wife saw the new  BX 1880 commercial on TV..so I saw the new bucket release system [like a skid steer] and went to see about one..really tried to trade them loaders, but was going to take a beaten, ended up trading them tractors and came out really well,I had only put about 90 hrs on the 15 model,.but holy cow,the new one is so easy to attach/ re attach..plus the arms can use and skid steer size appropriate attachment on the arms.it also has a bigger deck 54"..and mows a lot better.I love it,have moved a lot of gravel and sand with it and graded dirt in the back after a septic tank replacement..I would recommend one to any body looking for one this spring!...anyone have any old Bolens tractors around?...We have had this in the family since 68..my father sold them back in the late 60s and 70s..what a great tractor!.this is a 16hp wisconsin engine in a 1225 frame and hydrostat ,it still mows and I have the blade for it also..it's part of the family..lol...old one in he first pic..new one in the 2nd..some other changes also like loader stick was moved to a better place..etc

REMEMBER...one can easily get in trouble with a small tractor and loader...i built a  frame and pins to fit a 3pt quik hitch that holds a large cast wheel weight ..one can make a weight box filed with concrete...keeps the back end on the ground SAFER

I have a 1953 Ferguson I was mowing with today! I love that Tractor, best money I ever spent 2500 almost ten years ago and haven't put a dime in it other than gas and oil.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Be careful with the small Kubota like the one shown. The width is quite narrow and it will easily tip if driven on a non-level surface.

We had Farmallmodels "H" and a 400 narrow fronts. You put a big round bale of alfalfa on the 3 point and take off. You'd have to use the brakes to steer because the front was in the air. Once at speed, it touched the ground enough to be useful in wide turns.

Just bought a new L2501 HST Kubota, loader, box blade, bush hog. Getting ready to buy a plow and tiller. Haven't used the tractor yet but it will get a lot of use soon. Driven around the yard here and I like all but the treadle pedal. I will get used to it.
