Covid-19 test availability, anecdotal

An acquaintance visited Seattle a few weeks ago and developed flu systems a couple of days ago.
The on-set of symptoms was outside the 2-14 day window for the Covid-19 virus, and he is in his later 30s and in in reasonably good health and is therefore on the low-risk side of the disease.
He called ahead to a local ER and when he arrived was interviewed by telephone while he stayed in his car. While being fairly certain that he was probably not a candidate for having the virus, he given a mask and taken through a side entrance and was given a Covid-19 swab test.
We will know the results any day.
Though this is obviously local and anecdotal, it has led me to believe that all of the news regarding the scarcity of tests is hyped at least to some degree. Obviously there are not 300+ million tests available, so not all of us can be tested tomorrow. The fact that one was available for someone who was unlikely to have the virus, however, suggests that there are enough so that medical professionals can test when they believe it is prudent.

Sadly, Pregnancy tests prove this theory for many of our TP mentality population!
Not only would universal testing (if the test kits were available) overwhelm those charge with administrating the tests, it would also swamp the labs where the tests are analysed. Limiting the tests to those referred by doctors will keep the testing system functioning. What good is testing if the results are delayed for 3 weeks because of a backlog in processing?

If its the media you are getting your information, you are flat out being lied to.
DEMOCRAT controlled media is on an unprecedented disinformation campaign in their efforts to end the Trump presidency.

EDIT: Not sure I understand the '@' thing, but as this forum is the only social media I do, it hasn't been a problem before.
