Staying in, gonna watch "pandemic" movies and wait for the fool ups

Ordered Armageddon roller trigger for my AR10 build from jp enterprises. Chose to have them ship the trigger via USPS but they changed it to ups after making me pay extra for the privilege. I emailed jp enterprise monkey as to why and dude stated something about the "default system" after $250 ups gets the job. The last time I got anything delivered by ups it was dropped off at the wrong place. Oil cooler lines that was $70 wasn't as bad as this time of $305 for the trigger. Now had jp enterprises called me of the change in shipping monkey I would've said "HELL NO!!!" but they didn't. I only noticed my credit account being charged something different so I went looking as to why and that's how I found ups got the job.

By the time I'm swapping emails the ups claimed to have delivered it. Again not my place. So I had to file a claim of not getting my package. I'm sure it got dropped off at the same wrong house but I ain't doing the leg work of their screw up. Besides I ain't gonna go door to door meeting my neighbors or catch covid-19. I figure it's their screw up and if they say it was delivered to the correct place I don't wanna be tired from all the knocking and walking. So I gots to conserve all my anger. I wonder if it's the same ups driver who screwed up last time?

On to watch "pandemic" movies while I sit for Covid-19 or the ups. I think I'll start with the classic Dustin Hoffman monkey movie, re-remake of "Omega-Man" story, "The Crazies" Olyphant one to start with. What else titles am I missing? Had they made "28 Months Later" where it spread to the rest of Europe I would consider "28 Days/Weeks Later" a pandemic movie but it kind a fell short in the spread.

Sounds like one of those transfer deliveries where UPS delivers it to the USPS. Then god only knows what they do with it for a week before it's finally delivered.

Outbreak with Hoffman is good. Contagion is decent and probably more realistic.

12 Monkeys with Bruce Willis is also a classic.   Another classic, as suggested earlier in the week is The Andromeda Strain.

There was no hand off. jp enterprises changed the shipper to ups for me who I believe dropped it off at the "Wong House". I wanted USPS since they know where I live (for a change they are blameless other than their yearly postage rate hike). I'm basically waiting on ups to own their screw up or get my package.

"Outbreak" was okay. I do wonder if that's the same monkey from "Pirates" or "Night At The Museum". "Contagion" I don't know if I have that one. Is that the one in an airplane with that chick from "Dexter"? If so I know I don't have that one.

Walking Dead might be a good choice.

I have to limit it to "real world" possible bug possibilities.

Why ya gotta use ‘monkey’ so much ??  ;)
    I'm a monkey-ist like  I'm a rice-ist.

Was "12 Monkeys" a pandemic movie? I kind a sort of saw bits. I remember time travel and insane asylum.
"The Andromeda Strain" I got the tv show but I'm not sure I have the movie. The way things are going I got time to order it.

Sure seems like it to me

"In a future world devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet."

So no package wandered to my door. I wonder if I'm out $300?

Watched "Viral" the movie takes place in California with a Chinese virus. Then I watched "Cooties" don't eat the chicken nuggets. Followed by "Doomsday" England walling themselves off from Scotland. Brexit? Also I didn't get why the cannibals just didn't eat all those free range cattle? Long Pig taste that good? Or travelling to get the cattle too much of a chore?

    Some movement.

The "gm" for my trouble and me discovering their upcharge scam said there will be a $10 credit (yeah we'll see). Now I rather have the silly trigger than a $10 credit. I kind a wonder if there will be swag other than the trigger got the nuts and crack rub down with COVID wet cough inside the package? I'll let y'alls know if the trigger arrives why the brown grease they use smell like Taco Bell.

March 31 ups page o'mine is indicating "investigating". Now had they mis-delivered to the wrong place that's good and long gone. Also ups didn't showed up like last time when they mis-delivered my oil cooler line. That time ups manager and the idiot thrower showed up to track down the package. That was for a $70 part from Pepboys. You would think for a $300 trigger they'd break out the dragnet. Nope. The ups didn't email or call (so why ask for my information) but sent me crap emails how they still "serve" in COVID days. So nearly a month later with weekly back and forth with the "gm" of jp enterprises I asked directly if I'm gonna have to eat it or if they're gonna make me whole? Oh yeah they were supposed to contact me also but that didn't happen either.

This week after the "make me whole" email dude finally had his underling contact me. To let me know they were rushing me another trigger when they're finished assembling them and this time they will ship it USPS. So I answered the customer service email not to rush so much that I have to send it back for defect or parts missing. That reminds me how did my where is my package inquiry get sent up to the "gm"?

On a happier note I am grateful I broke that order up. I was planning to buy the whole upper build. The barrel, adjustable gas block, gas tube and BCG with the trigger on one order. I think it was good part of $1300+? I broke it up because there was talk about how the assault weapons ban might die here in California. So I wanted to have cash in hand for bits. Then Corona Virus hit. We'll see how close to kimber jp enterprises lands (kimber with their shenanigans taking 7 months to make me whole is at the bottom of the list of companies in my book).

Love post apocalyptic movies so here's your definitive watch list of pandemic movies:

    Contagion- probably most realistic

    Outbreak- was pretty good too

    Carriers- pretty good

The Stand- if you have a lot of time

Light of my life- on Netflix, kind of a themed pandemic where only females got it

Children of Man- another themed where women suddenly stopped bearing children

Andromeda Strain- old but still good

Zombie titles- 28 days, 28 days later, world War z, TWD series, Dawn of the Dead

I Am Legend- Finally a post apocalyptic movie where the protagonist is decently trained in firearms, could fall under the zombie category.

Got to run put that will keep you busy for now.
