I fixed a couple sandwiches, apples. cheese. carrot sticks and drinks and we got in the truck and drove a few miles to a conservation area.  We sat in the truck as it was cold out and watched an eagle flying around the area.  Ate our lunch and had a good talk about life in general...

It made the day a little more normal.....try it

 had a new lake open up few years ago,state built a dam on a small creek/river in local state park, looks just like that with the trees and stumps, been waiting on the trout stocking, but with this virus going on not sure they are gonna stock this year, usually the last stocking is the big older bruins/breeders just a wait and see....... DNR has closed a few local lakes to boats only no bank fishing or dock fishing

Deb and I have been doing the same sort of thing; packing a lunch and driving a couple of miles to the Lake Michigan shoreline. Watching the waves, admiring the lake, thankful for where we live. A piece of normalcy in these anything but normal times.
