Now getting better... getting worse. Won't really start getting real numbers for about 30 days when I expect to see around 20-50K cases a day.

Now they are starting to test more I hope they identify enough cases to lower the appearance of a high death rate. IE: I hope its really low
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Odds go up. If tested positive your odds of death go up.  Just imagine those folks in AntHill NYC. Right on top of one another. Living in apartments that share the same ventilation heat / air. No doubt they will be breathing the same air if one gets sick.

It’s too soon to tell if this is as bad as the panic is alluding.  The US is different than China and SK and Italy.  Only after a month of accurate testing can be compared to a month of deaths will we see how bad it is or isn’t.  Millions _could_ be infected with only a few thousands dying.    While that wouldn’t be a “good” thing it’d be nowhere near as bad as we’re panicking about.

Trump wants to save all the small business but the most bailouts will go to Airlines, Automobile,Cruise Liner and Aircraft builder  companies etc..... and  All the common people who lost everything in the stock market get nothing but That is capitalism at work and you should get nothing!
Well that same story goes for everybody then.If your company is broke well that's capitalism at work! You should fail like the rest of us. Why should the tax payers have to bail out people in their business ventures. The national debt is off the charts now and who is going to pay all this down? Bring back the inheritance tax and outlaw tax evading tax trusts on all real property, you think?

Many places are just now getting test kits. The positive numbers will climb & the media will blame Trump.
Numbers stayed down because no one had test kits.

The news media is hyping this up as much as possible.
They and the Dems want to destroy the Trump administration and will take down America to do it.

Public panic buying and shortage of goods lead to "The government must do something" and so the Dems promise everything to gain control and then, it's to late because they take your "rights" away and control everything....with your blessing.

    Wise up people.

it seems montana is doubling its total about every 4 days.  over 35 currently  in a sparsely populated state like this  without major urban areas could be a problem.  since there aren't enough hospital beds  to handle a major influx of patients.

Time to relax and look at this objectively.
The US is conducting 40+ thousand tests per day.  Test have been available and have been given to people who are symptomatic and/or have potentially been exposed.  Yes, they are rationed, but this is only prudent, as giving tests to 100% of the population is, in addition to being impossible, it will only bog down the processing so that results will not be obtained for weeks.  Quick results for those deemed most at risk is much more important that testing 100s of thousands who are at statistically insignificant risk.

This is a real issue, but it is being blown out of proportion by the 24 hour news cycle and a population who has been groomed to believe they are helpless absent direction from government.  The overall risk in this country remains extremely low, and will stay that way.  Yes, we will probably have 100+ thousand documented cases.  This is because we have a culture that will go out of its way to blame the virus on the death of anyone who tests positive.  Just as a heart attack while shoveling snow is called a weather related death, getting hit by a truck while crossing the street to be tested for COVID-19 will be blamed on the virus.

    Take a step back.

Take your finger off the panic button.

This is a significant event, but we are rapidly approaching the point where the cure is worse than the disease.  Endless hand wringing and gnashing of teeth will do harm.  Wash them and brush them, and go about your life taking the basic precautions you would take during a flu outbreak.

Well said. We have a few here that seem to take joy in trying to scare the crap out of everyone,....it does no good whatsoever to face anything that way. Your views pretty much mirror mine on this.

It's real, and people are going to die for certain. Running around screaming the end of the world accomplishes nothing though. Be intelligent, and do what you can do,......give yourself a long break from this 24/7 cycle of panic, and enjoy some down time if you are fortunate enough to have it. You can't talk, or wish this away,....so don't give yourself a heart attack over something you have no control over.
