I was half in half out around 2:30 am when I heard a series of loud gun shots, I knew they were about five houses away by the sound. Sure enough apparently some teenagers were dealing drugs out of a house and some thugs did a drive by. From the early reports unconfirmed at least one kid dead, Ambulance loaded a body no siren. Sounded like around 15-20 shots more than one gun. (Based on press release I added I guess no dead but it sure seemed they loaded a person fully sheeted and no siren.)

Not sure if ya'll can open that link but in the comments section their is a woman's cell phone who was editing a wedding video at the time and captured the sound of the shooting.

***** Official Press Release *****

On 03/22/2020 at around 2:30 AM, our agency responded to a residence on Edinburgh Drive in reference to a shooting. Four individuals were wounded during this incident and transported to an area hospital. The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is assisting our agency with this investigation.

Since this is a very active and on-going investigation, we are unable to release any additional information at this time

I told the wife we have lived here too long property was up strong last few months but with the cronie virus and crap like this we probably will get less. No matter we only paid 29K in 1981.

Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

glad all is well and you didn't catch any strays,  had a neighbors let his grandson move in, turned out to be methhead and had druggy buddies over at all hours of the night, that was my biggest fear as he got caught many times but never did jail time, think he was squeeling, I fully expected a drive by day or night, he finally  disapeared year or so later, never asked where he went, just glad he was gone........

In my area of San Antonio I have at least one night per month that I can hear multiple shots ring out.  Wannabe gang bangers taking pop shots at each other and rarely hit anybody.  I keep the Glock 17 beside me at all times and the AR is within a quick shuffle to grab it.  I have no fear they will try to come to my apartment door, but if they do they are in for a shock.

And in todays times...Carry On and Carry Always.

Yep know the feeling. Glad you and all came out safe. Had that here across the street 2 months ago and jayquins were running all over the place and no Jayquins live in this small town. Imagine a drug deal gone bad. Since the resident has left. Makes you get up and get ready real quick in case Jayquin comes in.

I Googled Jayquins and all I got was this I'm going to go with my first assumption though
The Jaquins are magical flying creatures that appear in the Disney Channel series Elena of Avalor. They are a cross between a jaguar and a macaw and are known as the guardians of Avalor sworn to protect the kingdom from dark forces that would threaten it. Due to Shuriki's invasion, they were reluctant to trust foreigners such as Sofia until Elena was restored to power.

I live out in the sticks and hear shooting during the wee hours quite often.  My neighbors (closest 1\3 mile away) raise chickens and live stock. Fox, coyotes, racoons, Weasels, mink, martins, etc. always on the hunt.

Times get bad around here, hunting seasons will probably expand.

Context and location can be everything. 26 years ago Judy and I got hitched. Sold my house in the city where I had several breakins, late night sounds of gunshots normal and a drug house down the block. It took some adjustment to be able to sleep where we are now - too quiet. Now the sound of my neighbors shooting on their own shooting ranges just makes me smile. Bob

    You need to move.

Agreed name a community that it can't happen in LOL.  Actually Hanahan SC has one of the lowest crime rates in the country if I'm not mistaken but it only takes one event to make you dead.

I would take a guess that the real estate business is not doing very well lately!

Moving for me is such a PITA when we are in good times!

I live so far out in the boonies that the only shots I hear are from MY guns.
