Deer and Turkey

There seems to be an abundance of both deer and turkeys this spring. I left the house at 3:30 am this morning to get an early start at work and I probably saw 30 deer along my 6 mile drive on the two lane country road I live on. God only knows how many were out in the dark fields on both sides. I also saw a bobcat. Then on Hwy 40 at least another 30 or more feeding on the side of the road. They have been like that lately and they all look large and healthy.  I see flocks of turkeys numbering  20 birds or larger at least three or four times a week including the flock of 11 that seem to live at mile marker 2015 on Hwy 40. Nice to see but all the deer on the road is dangerous. I hit a big doe last week with my van.

Same around here Ricci.  I think the mild winter and abundant mast crop helped them along.  Not as many people hunting this year also.  The 2 guys that hunt behind my place only hunted a few days.  One killed a 4 point the other 2 Does and that is it,  they usually take 3-5 deer each.

No one has hunted the turkeys and I have a flock of at least 20 birds that come around.

Speaking of that I see someone really wanted that PGO 500 and they wanted it bad!  Good job on that one I know your customer will be happy getting that much for cheap gun like that.

Got a yard full of turkeys, deer, rabbits, squirrels, you name it, and about time for the bar to show up. Panic buying won't cause much hunger pains here if need be.
