Two more Physical Therapy Sessions To Go

grdad45grdad45 Member Posts: 5,381 ✭✭✭✭
Had left side total knee replacement Feb. 13. Been going to PT three times a week for 6 weeks. This Friday will be the last. My therapist is very satisfied with my progress, as am I. Started out on a walker, then graduated to a cane, then chucked the cane last Monday. I can now lay my leg out flat and have more flex than I have had in YEARS. The right knee needs to be done, but it will be months before I can get that done due to the CV, no elective surgeries for some time. I'm now bowlegged on one side only!!!

Good job!  Hang in there.  It will be about 3 months of hell total then you are A OK.

I've had both done (not the  same time) and  don't  regret it at all.  No pain any more.
Keep moving, and  working out, the more the  better  total recovery will be.  Invest in some new  (good) shoes.

If its covered by Medicare it might get canceled.
CMS just put out a "recommendation" grid that indicates unless it is critical need it should be postponed, We will see how that goes.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!
