Is it just me, or is the below photo a really tasteless move on Fox's part?  Just really rubs me the wrong way.

Someone's idea of an artistic approach to the story.
Were I to look for some deeper meaning, I guess I would see hope emerging from despair.

The photo means to you what you choose for it to mean to you.  I do not consider it tasteless, I think it reflects on humanity, that we never give up and keep fighting to go on.   I doubt you are the only one that sees it the way you do though, so it's probably not just you.

Hope from despair....interesting. Classic case of different perspectives, I guess.
....and they are only a little in a bunch. Thanks, Don.

Haven't really followed your posts, much, Frogdog, but from this response, I do believe I like you.

The photo was probably taken at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, which is opposite the US Navy base at Point Loma. White ship, white stone markers and the deep blue water make for an artistic photo, and art is highly subjective. I don't find it tasteless.

We must have been posting at the same time.   Hope from despair is a good way to put it.

Looks like it is sailing past Fort Rosecrans, Pt. Loma.

Okay, now that I have read some alternative perspectives and, perhaps even more importantly, had some coffee.......my mind has changed. I'm onboard....... "Hope from Despair" it is.

Brings back memories of the hospital ship "HOPE" way back when.   The tombstones kind of take away from the hope aspect but in an artsy kind of way could memorialize those that have been lost in the recent tragedies taking place.
