Good to see the bees are back !!! PICS

I have a huge tree in my front yards and for the past 10+ we have had honey bees living in it.  I was concerned after some tree trimming this year that they would not return.  Yesterday it was sunny and 75 here in central MO 
and the bees were all over the place and sure enough, I could see them swarming around the big tree going in and out....I enjoy watching them around the farm but have to be careful as I am allergic to bee venom...Always have my epi with me.....

Checked last week on the two colonies on my place. Both are active. They are working on the weed flowers in our yard a lot. I'm going to hold off mowing until more plants are blooming.

USA lost 40% of its bees last year...we haven't had a bee here in years... wife has a friend nw of us that moves his colonies to south texas for winter...said he is queening new hives and they are out on clover and some type of flower blooming  now ...when weather is rite he will truck em back to SC Kansas

Those wood bore bumblebees are here. Had ..I said had a couple on the deck. Tennis racket couldn't get them but the .410 encore did.

around rural home here in south central kansas......but i own ground rented out and planted to alfalfa so would have to check there about 3 miles away..we keep birdbath full but see no bees yet...getting warmer maybe soon ????
