Sure looks bad for our 21st century scientist's knowledge but then heck it was a moving target who could blame them? Oh, wait those Bio labs were busy isolating COV viruses and inserting new characteristics with similar attributes of The COV19 virus that was unleashed on the whole world's population! The question is who is moving the target?

Anthony Fauci,

Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday that models suggest the coronavirus will infect millions of Americans and could kill 100,000–200,000, though he stressed that the projections are "such a moving target."

Fauci has been the coronavirus task force's most outspoken advocate for emergency social distancing measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, sometimes contradicting President Trump's more optimistic outlook.

If we hit the predicted 2.3 million cases, and 8%-10% mortality continues, that will be just about on target.  Actually estimates for the 1918 Spanish flu killed more like 200,000,000 world wide.  Hard to get an accurate count in the third world.  Treatments are far better now, despite our lag in preparedness.  Social distancing does make a difference.  Can't give it to me if you can't get close.  If you try, and I shoot you, does that count as self defense in todays world?

Holy Mollie Batman!,said Robin, why are The Chinese trying to corner the market with bat genes viruses in Wuhan?

Several Chinese state media outlets in recent months touted the virus research and lionized in particular a key researcher in Wuhan, Tian Junhua, as a leader in bat virus work.

The coronavirus strain now infecting hundreds of thousands of people globally mutated from bats believed to have infected animals and people at a wild animal market in Wuhan. The exact origin of the virus, however, remains a mystery.

In 2016, Chinese media reported that thanks to Junhua in particular, around 1,500 viruses had been discovered in five years.

He has been quarantined several times out of caution because of skin contact with bat blood, urine and feces , Chinese newspapers reported. Was the risk in the laboratory in the city of Wuhan handled too lightly?

Biologist Botao Xiao writes that he believes a security leak is plausible . According to this, the virus came from the laboratory, and the first patients were infected in this way. However, further studies are necessary to prove this. But it also raises the question of regulations to move such laboratories to places far from the city center and other densely populated

Even biologist Botao Xiao does not provide any reliable evidence for the connection of the government laboratory in the vicinity of the fish market. The contribution funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China there had disappeared on Saturday. It was published on researchgate.net on Friday without peer review by other scientists. also disappeared there on Saturday.
