Sure looks beautiful.  They have a lot of wild game and water for fishing.  I enjoy watching the Texas Game Warden show and they feature Hunt County quite a bit.  
Nunn, you got yourself a hunk of heaven.

Like watching Boone.   Very fair.  He's fun to watch on gator calls.  Knows what he is doing for sure.  Shows no fear or hesitation.

Watching Lone Star Law,  I learned that the Timber Rattler (Crotalus horridus) is protected under Texas law.  That's kinda funny, since the Timber is fairly rare in Texas, but very common further east in Arkansas and Louisiana, where it is not protected.

Enjoy the show , lone star law . Most of them fellows I could work with . Watched one of the other game warden shows don’t remember which one . Agent shown was more interested in protecting the revenue stream than being fair and honest with folks . Got to remedy that sometime it is all about the money

Have actually, ran into several since I moved here. A couple on the road and one out on a jogging path. Left them alone other than coaxing one off the road so it wouldnt get run over. Also a couple of sistrurus. Sometimes I miss the days when I used to catch and keep. 

Sometimes I miss Hunt County. As you know grandparents and uncles lived there for years. It has grown considerably and my only hopes are sprawl from DFW doesn't ruin it.

Actually, in Arkansas, its illegal to kill any snake unless it poses a reasonable threat.

No rattlers. Close by . Further south and east they start to show up along with some in the farthest west part of state Not really scared of snakes but wife and kids are . Shows up here and it will become a dead snake

Texas has strange wildlife laws.  It is not legal to touch a reptile on a roadway, even to move it off the road.  Call me scofflaw.

Me too, and I have lots of company.  We routinely move turtles and snakes out of the roadways.

   I'd be guilty of moving turtles for sure.  The snakes I would do all I could to avoid, but stop, NO.
