During the cleanup of last weekends flood we ran across some of my uncles discharge papers. God only knows why they were in a folder in one of the offices on the floor but anyhow...here is a picture.

I am just asking...in the time frame, what would he have done with that specialty in that period. I appreciate any answers

Yup. Army cop one step above beat level, roughly equivalent to detective.

My FIL was an "investigator" for the FBI during that period.  He did mostly "background checks" for Top Secret clearances.

CID was my first guess as well, but I do not know the MOS.

A friend had that MOS in the 1960's.  His issue sidearm was a 2" Colt Detective Special.
