Winning bidder emails just went out and this one guy sent THREE emails asking questions

Locust ForkLocust Fork Member Posts: 32,088 ✭✭✭✭
Every single message he sent was a question that if he actually READ the email he would have his answers.    I don't know how people navigate through life sometimes????

I think about how hard things are sometimes and wonder if its just best to huff glue at the beginning of the day like these guys seem to be doing.

I'm headed to the dealership tomorrow for my first oil change and to talk to them about what they are doing about the food based car parts that the squirrels seem to love.

I've learned that each communication should have only one topic, explain it simply (like in a children's fairy tale) & be as short as possible. Otherwise the reader gets lost.

Yes similar to my business writing professor in college called the KISS method.  “Keep it simple stupid”.  He said keep the communication simple no need to repeat the question just answer it in the simplest of terms.

i do agree with LF I don’t know how these people get through life.  What scares me more is them being gun owners possibly at a range near me.

Try 20 years of law enforcement if you want to see how stupid the people out there really are!

Yep, happens a lot right here on these forums. Somebody will post something, and several people will respond. At this point everybody is in sync with the original post, then along come a couple posters that just cannot get it.............

Not only is it a right but it is encouraged and protected. Look at all the stupid warning labels that are needed to protect from lawsuits like " my coffee was to hot". Pass little Johnny in school so he can go to college even though he can't read... and so on. Bob

Yes to the food based car parts, my bookkeeper bought a 2016 Subaru, Vermin eat the entire wiring harness of the top of the transmission and to beat it all there is no way to access it to do any kind of prevention.
Son did some wiring in older house a couple years ago, rats ate every bit of the insulation off the wire they could get to.
They must had rubber gloves and boots on, not nary one got electrocuted.

Do I really need to mention that no where in our wonderful Constitution does it mention that you have the right to be smart.         :D

The problem with these guys is not that its too hard to understand.....they aren't reading it at all.....not one word of it.

One guy wanted to know when he could come by and pick up his item.....another wanted to know if we were an FFL.....the third guy wanted the phone number to call.    All of this is laid out in a simple message that goes out to all of the winning bidders.

For the most part people know what they are doing and we don't get  a lot of hassle.....but when they are actually replying to a message that has the answer to their question its just too funny.

Soy-bean based wired coatings are the culprit :s
  • bpostbpost Member Posts: 32,669 ✭✭✭✭
GM and others went to soy based wiring insulation years ago to be eco friendly (and save pennies a car).  It is a living disaster. Many thousands of owners have had the wiring chewed to bits by critters attracted to the soy insulation.  GM and all others simply do not care...

I'm thinking on a rat poison wiring system. Chew it and die.  Maybe laced with roundup for a big cancer lawsuit for the rats. Seems the rats are winning these days.

Your new friend may not know as much as you about the auction.  It is good you took time to  give him, her, those answers.

    Read her first line...

It's too bad she has to take the time!

I always tried to respond to emailed questions with enough info so the person writing only needs to respond with a thank you.
I hate people that only ask 1 question at a time and send multiple emails. Those people I call on the phone and ask them to tell me me what they need. I'll even tell them I don't have time to play 20 questions.

If I were LF, I'd just copy and paste the pertinent sections from my original email in response.
