A set trigger is a adjustable trigger that can be set so you have a hair trigger or you can use it as a normal trigger. To use it as a normal trigger you pull the trigger just as you normally would. If you want a hair trigger you push the trigger ahead until you hear a click. Now its set. when you now pull on the trigger it releases a small hammer inside the trigger which hits the sear and the now the main hammer drops. The set trigger is adjustable in how hair it is by turning the small common slot screw next to the trigger. If you adjust the screw too far in, the set trigger will not set. Just be careful with the small screw if its stuck. you can twist it off easily.
