What the feds could do about Chicago and other cities

Various parties have claimed the looters just want to eat.

Suppose the national guard set up well-guarded soup kitchens and food pantries where the basics could be obtained by those truly in need.  There is an epidemic after all. 

Obviously most of them are lying but it would make it harder to lie.  And so they 'd get away with a little soup and bread and macaroni, so what.  Some of them are essential workers after all.   The goal would be to make sure they had essentials and couldn't say they looted high end luxury goods to buy essentials with.

Or, someone could document all the things that can be done already to obtain food in the hood.  Perhaps the government could rent billboard space advertising what you can do.

"...The rally was organized by Black Lives Matter Chicago and was held at a police station in the South Loop where organizers say individuals are currently being held in custody. At least one organizer called the looting tantamount to "reparations."

“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,” said Ariel Atkins, a BLM organizer, according to NBC Chicago. “That makes sure that person has clothes.”

appeasement just brings more demands for FREE stuff...looting is STEALING.....nothing less...and to imply that these criminals deserve Gucci over Walmart is STUPID...and calling this "reparations" is  glorious insanity

I heard that moron yapping reparations. Trying to be all "Robin Hood" and not "Hood Rat". I almost wanted someone to give them a mule.

I thought Chicago getting all "Batman Begins" by raising the bridge was art imitating life. blm was imitating the Arkham Asylum inmates running amok. Would've been cool to see the Tumbler jumping the drawn bridge.

Or the feds could let the state of Illinois and the City of Chicago deal with their own issues.  If they want to allow their city to burn down, well, it's their city.   People need to be responsible for themselves, so do cities and states.   Make it plain and clear there will be zero funds available from the federal level to rebuild cities burned/damaged by rioters.  The people in the states and cities can address their lack of qualified officials in the voting booth.
