Who did something nice for a neighbor today?

Nanuq907Nanuq907 Member Posts: 2,551 ✭✭✭✭
I figure most of us whose life doesn't revolve around a 24-hour news cycle ... we're the ones with our heads screwed on straight.  This is still America, we're still honest people and our neighbors are good decent honest people too.  Even if they're mindless drooling liberal .....  STOP!!!!!!!!  Knock it off Bob.   Okay, take a deep breath ... even if they might not think the same as me, who really cares?
We are allowed to think differently.  I hope we do.  Life would be way boring if everyone thought like me.  So I have a liberal neighbor, I can have fun with that!  And I can still respect him even though he's not thinking right, he still cares that the bills get paid, and kids get fed, and roads get graded.
We are, first and foremost, Americans.  Our ancestors died with the hope that their death meant we'd be free.  Everything else is secondary.  We are free.  Nobody has a boot on our neck.  We MUST preserve that freedom, we MUST water that tree with the blood that shows freedom matters.  I'm sure our liberal neighbors feel exactly the same way.
So who did something nice for their neighbor today?  We are FREE.  Get out there and BE free.  Bring your liberal neighbor a loaf of bread.  Be the bigger man.  Extend the hand.  Set the example.  Be free, and let him know it's cool if he acts free too.  The real goal is intelligent, free men interacting with each other, knocking off our rough edges and pursuing what's best for ALL of us, not just some of us.  E Pluribus Unum, even if it kills us in the process.

I do things for not just neighbors but a few friends when needed. Like a lot of us here, I don't have to say I did this and I did that for someone like a Hoolyweird star or the lot, a liberal, politicians ect. I can guarantee that many hear are the same and don't come here to post about how I helped someone. Just my thought. I am happy that you do good work for people.

The important thing is to do it and then not blow your horn about it!

Well, it wasn't today but last week I gave my neighbor back the pile of poop his dog had left in my yard.  Does that count?

I am extemely fortunate to live in the country.  With fantastic neighbors.  Our closest ones are a really nice couple- work from home Dad, stay at home Mom, 2 of the cutest little girls you have ever seen.  They dropped by yesterday afternoon to bring me some homemade cookies, fresh tomatoes, and let the girlsl (2 and 4) play with our cats.

I plan to send the girls to college.  Neighbors like that are pearls of great price.

I gave a guy 500 rounds of 5.56 for his new AR that he bought, since he couldn't find any locally, or at a reasonable price on line..

I don't have any liberal neighbors. It might be boring but at least we get along. Kind of an unwritten rule, no shooting before 9AM unless it's hunting season. Bob

You are living the dream, my friend.  That's worth a moment of silence and a thank-you.

I bless my neighbors every day I leave them alone.

Well this old redneck is working from his apartment and watched his neighbors 6 year old daughter for a couple of hours while she was at a medical appointment.  But it was all good, the little munchkin is well mannered and likes Scooby-Doo as much as I do.

Been taking my recently widowed neighbor her paper and mail several times a week, my wife has taken her to a couple of Dr. appts. My payback is "carte blanc" (sp?) use of the shooting range I helped her late husband build.
