This fellow has been showing up at my door for a week now so finally I answered.
"I'm with the Census doing a recheck on this address"
I said Yeah I mailed that * in.
"The name on the report is Nun of Ya bidness"
Yeah so? I said Look If you can't ask if I'm a citizen don't ask me anything else!
He left
I used to be compliant but if they can't take a census of US citizens I'm not playing anymore
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Like people wouldn't lie about such a question. There went $100 of our tax money down the drain. I worked the 2000 census & it is expensive to send people around. I made $15/hr plus mileage then. Going door to door isn't quite so bad but just checking on a few is. I went to Barstow, Palm Springs & 29 Palms just to check on a handful of addresses in the mapping phase & again in the actual census.

    I did mine on line.

    Moved.

Got another request at the new address and did it again, listing zero occupants, but did not list their names as was requested.

Have received 4 or 5 mailed requests to answer.

The last one says I will be in the deep stuff if I don't answer.

It is not my problem that the Census Bureau is inefficient.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

I did mine and mailed it the day it was received. On it in permanent red marker " ALL ARE UNITED STATES CITIZENS".

I don't believe in abusing people trying to do a job. They are only doing what they are told. If I have a beef it is usually with someone higher up and will try to get a word with them. The census is so simple and non-invasive I don't see the point of making it more costly and less accurate just for personal games.

The left is mailing in and making sure that their welfare baby’s get counted.
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

My wife worked the 2000 census too. The longer she stayed on, the more she got sent to the back woods loonies on the lunatic fringe. They always had a beef with the government and they thought it was her fault and if they flipped out on her that she would change things to make them happy. Snowflakes. She told me a few times what they said to her. I told her not to tell me anymore after a certain point. It made me want to go out and pay these upstanding gentlemen a visit.

A friend was just hired for the census. Supervisors don't have a clue. One called him to find out when & where his appointment was. He was given 1 day to do 6 days of training via a phone with bad internet reception. But the phone does have tracking. It's a real cluster fluck.

If you don't want to hear any crap don't take the job bugging people, kinda like crying about hassling people Via Cell phone call center mills and getting hung up on LOL.
If as a country we can't take a LEGAL census in this country I won't play their games, if your a sissy supporting anti American Census BS knocking on peoples doors to conduct an unwarranted unsolicited disturbance man up or go home, as noted you take the money.

Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I mailed mine in, never heard back so they must be happy with how I didn't fill it out.

I would love to know how many wrote on the census. I am a citizen or something to that effect.

What mogley said.  Me personally, no way would I EVER take any kind of government job. Why be part of the problem?

BTW, a census guy stopped here a couple days ago. His boss had sent him to the un-maned fire station across the road. :D

Fulfilled my Constitutional commitment  on the internet at my leisure. Nobody knocking on the door. Constitution says everyone in the country be counted every ten years, not just citizens.

Not EVERYONE. The Constitution excludes Indians not taxed.

Glad they didn't send census takers out into the wilderness to count wild Indians back in 1776. Also additions to the census article call for penalty up to $5000 for refusing to answer or willfully giving false answers.

Sorry, 5th amendment protects you from answering anything or saying anything PERIOD.

Also I think you forgot the dot in $50.00

And  no, the constitution does not say to count illegals.  "We the People", you must be a citizen sorry Charlie.

I worked the 2010. Had one guy come to his front door (on a main street) wearing nothing but a tshirt.  I did ours online this year. If they get gender, age, and race for each person that's enough, they don't bother pushing for more.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

Be sure to answer "human" for race.

Nope, you are. Go check sources other than fake news.

There are at least 22 million legal non-citizens and 12 million illegal immigrants in our country or 10.4% of our population of 330 million. They are all non-citizens who will be counted in the census for the purpose of reallocating the 435 U.S. House seats. This means that 34 U.S. congressional seats will be attributed to non-citizens. Minnesota, by comparison, gets just eight congressional seats.

And you wonder why Kommiefornia caters to the illegals
