Don't you just LOVE when a Company does not follow its own written words?

NOT HAPPY TODAY.  Got a FEDEX door tag this afternoon.  Adult signature REQUIRED for the package from ATN.
Here is what was in the email I was sent when they got the busted scope back.
There is no need to contact us further as once the repair process is complete an email will be sent to you letting you know it is on the way and include the tracking details.
I know I can't seem to put thoughts into words on a keyboard very well but me thinks I can understand some fairly small words in an email.
Did I contact them? NO
Did they bother to send an email letting me know it is on the way, heck no.
Did I get tracking details, double heck no.
I live alone out in the boonies, I also work so I can live.  There is no way for me to be home waiting for FEDEX to decide to show up. I wonder if a full accounting of this mess since purchase on 7-22-2020 sent to the CEO of ATN in California might clue them in they got one BIG issue with product quality and lousy CS.

Does FedEx have an option to sign a release to not have to sign for packages? I believe some delivery companies do.

fed ex did have that option and i signed up for it many years ago, they still leave packages on the porch.  every now and then i still get a notice from the P.O. but that is usually from a fill in driver.  fed-ex has always had a hold for pick up option as far as i know.  contact them.

The closest FEDEX spot to me is about 75 miles away.  I left a note asking for it to be left inside the screen door or deliver to Dollar General in Rutland OH, about six miles from my home.  We will see what happens tomorrow.  It is irksome to have this mess go on for over a month since I made the HUGE mistake of buying from ATN to begin with, they don't even follow their own instructions.  I won't make that mistake again.

FedEx, UPS, and USPS have all stopped obtaining signatures on "signature required" shipments. But they DO still charge extra for it. My USPS driver forges my name so that it gets reported as a signature obtained.

Sign online. Or contact them to leave it as you said they will. AND I told you you would have a new scope in a couple weeks.

I tried that, registered with FEDEX today for some reason it won't let me sign for it online and quite frankly I don't trust these drivers, they change from week to week.  UPS is the same two guys for over a decade, they know me, I give them eggs and deer meat, they take care of me very well with all of my packages.

I tried to ship some ammunition to my son the other day.  Packaged it all up exactly as UPS says.  Put the ORM-D label on.  Took it to the UPS shipping facility.  Clerk asks me what's in the package?  I say "Cartridges, small arms".  She says "You have to have a FFL to ship that".  So the package is sitting in my kitchen.  Guess I will hand deliver it.

I had a problem with UPS when ever the regular driver was off. The facility was close & it was so frequent that I knew which shelf my package would be on. One Saturday I got another card saying they were too stupid to find my house. Well, the manager had a unique name & I found his home phone #. The package was delivered promptly on Monday & the driver showed me that directions to my house were laminated to the back of the route's clipboard.

Sounds to me like they are letting you know that they have it and they will let you know when it's on it's way back to you.

I got it today.  Now to see if this one will hold up longer than eight rounds before it falls apart.

I can usually work around, avoid, or go somewhere else when a company does not follow it own words or protocol.

It is when GOVERNMENT does not follow its written laws, when we all get screwed.......and it happens thousands of times more in GOVERNMENT than it does in business,
