Not mine, but thought that even for the bin price, this would make a decent shotgun for home defense, or just general use. Not one of the more popular names in the shotgun field, but still, a well made gun. I would think that you could have the barrel sawed off, and still be into it for $300 with the bin....

I wouldn't sell a S & W/Nobel shotgun, to my worst enemy. For $10, $300 is just a joke.
The S&W branded Howa made shotguns and rifles were very well made weapons. The Nobel stuff not so much , I would pass
I bought a 12 ga Winchester model 1200 riot pump shotgun at Gulf States Distributes in Montgomery, AL that spent a few years riding around in a police cruiser. I purchased it for $125. It had some white ID numbers stenciled on the stock when I bought it. I took some fine steel wool and some gun oil and carefully removed the paint. Looks pretty good for a cheap gun. It's the one I have by my bedside these days. I figure if they're going to confiscate a gun that you shoot some low life thug with that's breaking into your house it shouldn't be a gun that's worth a lot of money that the law confiscates and never returns or if they do it'll be all scratched up.
Despite the dislike of the model 1200 that Winchester replaced the old beloved model 12 with they are good guns. I hunted with one a lot when I was a teenager that never gave any problems. You can take the screw cap off of the top of the magazine with your fingers and the barrel comes right off. They're easy to clean.
In reality, that shotgun has virtually no link to S&W beyond licensing the name.
