I have what I believe is an original civil war discharge paper dated 1865. Sargent Charles E. Brewer from company B, 150 regiment of the New York Volunteers was apparently wounded and discharged after spending 2 1/2 years of service. I don't want to sell this but would love to find any descendants and give it to them. Any ideas on how to do this guys?
Thanks,
It's too late for me, save yourself.

cbxjeff: bubba Jr's wife has more likely than not given you all the info you need to get the document in the hands of one of his descendants. Just look for the phone numbers for any Graef in Carmel, CA, or nearby and all should be okay, given the name is an unusual one.
