Local news station, just posted the above. Next week according to the weather channel, we can look forward to 3/4 more days of 110 temps. No 117/119 degree temps, like in July though.

The people that love or need heat with low to zero humidity...well, this is what they might view as "to die for" in more ways than one.
    What's next?

My electric bill has been high enough running the air conditioner in 80-90 degree weather most of the summer. I would hate to think what it would be if I had your temps.  :o Bob

    It's been running $ 200 + a month, for a single personal 1400 BTU air conditioner.

Yeah but it's a dry heat. That's what the wife of one of our architects told him when he was working in South Texas one year when he was talking to her on the phone. 2 weeks later she came down to visit and had to be rushed to the hospital with heat stroke. I ask him if he told her at least it's a dry heat. He said he wasn't that brave.

Well, the good news is that the Valley of the Sun is going to see an end to the 110 degree weather pattern for about 5 days. Then back up to the 110+ days after that.

The really good news is that the Valley and a few of the surrounding towns have gotten some Monsoon activity with measurable precipitation. The upper elevations are still hamstrung with atmospheric variable which are not conducive for rain at all. Lots of clouds and then the typical 14 drops of rain then back to sunshine.

The fires are still wreaking havoc on the entire area just like California. Air quality, even at the upper elevations is significantly degraded. We are fortunate to have the number of firefighters and smoke jumpers who have shown such dedication to protecting us and our natural resources.

    Best.
