Seagulls are classed as migratory and therefore are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. This makes it illegal to pursue, hunt, kill or sell gulls as well as being against the law to disturb, destroy or move any active seagull nest.

Montanajoe-OK, they migrate.  Many birds migrate but have hunting seasons applied.  Why are these different?

An why call em seagulls?? Yes we have them here at the coast but I have seen them all over the country, far inland. But I do like them more than the damn Canada Geese cause they don't block traffic.

I thought Migratory Bird status only meant I have to use a 3-Shot Plug in my shotgun when I hunt them!  :)

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
