Gun show check in

pulsarncpulsarnc Member Posts: 6,568 ✭✭✭✭

Local promoter puts on gun shows in eastern NC , called S&D promotions. They seem to have gone the way of all shows and devolved into jerky and crap . Went to one today in a nearby town .. First one in several years No reloading supplies , ammo way overpriced . Think Remington thunderbolts for $55.00 a box of 500 . You get the idea Whst few guns seen were similarly priced , run of the mill mosin nagent for $400 . Even saw a Springfield 87 ,22 rifle at $400 . Such are the times

I haven't gone to a gun show in years. Don't miss them one bit. Just like I don't miss football.

It was on the way to the beach today so I dropped in out of curiosity.

a local promoter has had several shows this summer, I've set up at a few. I price my 'stuff' lower than most others and have done well. I've sold a couple of my 'customs' for a good price also.

I have given up on them.  The sad thing is I always loved going to gun shows if not to buy stuff at least look at some cool guns but nowadays its all black guns or garbage going for insane prices.

Of the roughly twenty or do venders there only 5 actually were selling guns . The rest were the everything else sellers . Disappointed to say the least . We do have a very large show that goes on 4 times a year In Raleigh . The next one is in November 21 and 22 . Should be interesting to see what the market does at that point .

That show in Wilmington has sucked for twenty years.

Ricci , never been to the Wilmington Dixie show . Only the Raleigh one , and yes it has gone downhill too . Surprisingly enough the Dixie Deer Classic has become a great show for guns . Not a ton of dealers but in recent years the prices have been good and most have shown a willingness to cut a deal on some things .

I haven't been to one in a few years..........Austin kind of made it hard to find venues.........but they have all declined since the heydays of the 90s...........when I started going.

Haven’t been to one in over 5 years. Prices are worse than what I could get on GB or the LGS. And so much non gun related items. And is it too much to ask for ya to take a shower, change your clothes that have been worn a month and put on some deodorant? I swear the last one I went to smelled like I was at a feedlot.
