About how many filled mags do you keep on hand at any given time? With all the "stuff" going on lately, I have decided to increase my supply by a few more.

As we speak I have six 30 round steel H&K mags loaded with green tip for my rifle. I have some loaded AK mags but no AK No Mo. My G27 has 9 rounds in the gun and one 13 round extra mag.

If you get in a situation that will take more than one 30 round mag,you probably need to get the hell out of there as fast as you can.

I have a few for a couple different firearms  as any one would have I guess .
now I do load a bunch up if were going to have a weekend ammo wasting event in my back yard with family and friends coming over just to waste into the back stop .
but really how many people could one person hold off In normal home  sitting no matter how many mags you have loaded
in a unexpected assault on just you or maybe a second family or fiend helping before the crowd / mob overwhelmed or even one lucky shot ended your  100  loaded mag dump  . in that case you loaded up a bunch of magazines for them to use  ;)
now If I was in a well protected bunker and knew I was about to be confronted in short order ( unlikely )  then having a lot of loaded mags would be more reasonable ,

I agree Ditch... Myself, I'd likely just sleep through it all and my wife would have to shoot them all. :D

I've got a few guns stashed around the house incognito and most have an extra mag or three. That's it. The thought is to use one to get to the next. From that one to the next. From that last one to either my safe, and/or get the heck outta dodge.

If you ever use any of that in a "situation," it would be interesting to know how your attorney justifies all that in court.

growing up my dad always had some low end 22 or 25 auto  pistol and one loaded magazine in it , that was it  he never had to use it maybe show it once but those 5 or 6 rounds were it .   even my first few guns I had just the one magazine for them
heck I was about 16 yrs old or so before I knew they actually sold extra mags or aftermarket mags  for what ever you had
now a example p-mags  I lost count on how many I have  on line sales ago >> but at least three are loaded
handguns a couple  mags for each pistol I have handy but that still close to 30 rounds each .
I would be in a world of crap to use them and need more  :o

I have about 50 clips for my Grand loaded up and a couple of magazines for my 1911, that should be enough

Now as far as what an attorney would say, I look at it like this.  I live at the end of a dead end road, then I have a 900 foot lane up to the house and my closest neighbor is over a quarter mile away and he feels as I do, and that is,  we have quite a bit of land around us and I have a back hoe and loader on the tractor, so why would I need an attorney.

One extra magazine for the Ruger I keep in the car, one extra magazine for each of the four pistols I keep loaded inside the house, plus some loose ammo for the revolver that I keep in the walk in closet of the master bedroom. A pistol in the closet? I dread the thought of getting into trouble while changing shirts.

I have what I have not so much for me but mine that show up and need armed and fed.  One man alone no matter how much firepower, magazines or ammo is not gonna make it.  Gotta sleep sometime.  I have the extras for those that bugged out and show up here with their underwear and a change of sox, if that.

I keep 6x 30 rounders for the AR and 4x 14 rounders for the Ruger 9mm in the battle rattle vest hanging next my bedroom door. The farm pickup and UTV have an extra mag or three aboard in case I get cornered by a raving pack of varmints outside.
If things go really badly, I'll start staging an extra complete outfit away from the house in case I'm not able to get there.
