My winter garden is up and doing good!! Who else does winter gardens??

My broccoli, kolrabi and kale sets are looking good.  I used seed to plant beets, cilantro, dill and spinach.  The beets are about an inch tall.  You can barely see the cilantro, dill and spinach but their heads are just starting to stick out of the ground. 

I'm already thinking about hot buttered beets straight from the garden!!

We live in Wisc. my wife plants "Kale".  Looks like a fancy cabbage.  Lasts well into the winter months!

im planting my greens tomorrow here in south Ms.  suppose to rain some next week, should get them off to a good start.

I haven't planted a garden for several years but I have planted, early spring, summer and winter gardens.   Broccoli, cabage, root vegetables, some greens are usually my late plantings.

Last year Winter here in Florida was on a Thursday afternoon.

Winter gardens here in the Minneapolis area generally consist of rocks and snow, sometimes without the snow.

Ummmmm, no.  I lost my wife's car in one overnight snow storm, I thought it was funny as heck.  "Honey, where did you put my car??"   This was after a TON of shoveling and snow blowing.
