cabin air filter on your vehicle?  Lots of dirty air this summer.  Might be time.

    I took mine out of my CRV. The a.c. blows a lot stronger.

     we change ours some what regular or at least check it 
     as stated it can cause poor air flow even cause the  blower motor to burn up

    Actually that was in our Pilot. The A/C was making a low frequency noise. My wife stopped complaining about the mouse traps I had put in there.

    About two weeks ago I noticed that when I turn on my AC, I hear a clicking noise, like there is a leaf that got into the fan or something. Could it be that I need to change the cabin filter? 2015 Nissan Versa (61,000 mi).

    My vehicle gets around 30 MPG, but my definition of MPG has changed.
    It is now "months per gallon"
    With the suggested "stay at home" order in Colorado, we are, as much as possible.
    Being that we are both in the high risk category.
    I go once a week to get M & M from the convenience store. (milk and mail)
    Wife goes to town, in her car, to get groceries twice a month.
    I have racked up about 8 miles last month, she racked up maybe 100.
    She should get about 4 months this tank full, I should get around 40 months. ( hope things settle down soon)
    Even though we are in one of the high density smoke areas from the fires, I don't think we have to worry about our air filters.
    But thanks for reminding us about it.

    Some of them are not easy to find & change.  But, I have always been able to find a You Tube video that clearly explains how to do it on all my vehicles.  I only buy name brand filters, so never any problem with the blower fan.

    Like most, I never thought about it. But I just looked up and found that my local WallieWorld has one in stock to fit my 2008 Toyota Highlander, and there was a YouTube that showed how easy it is to change it on that car. So, I'm off to get one today.
    (The Fram at WM is $14. One from K&N is $42!)

    It might be that the Fram is a disposable, and the K&N is a washable/reusable one....

    Funny not so funny story goes with that, went to a Jiffy Lube with a gun in glove box, I'm watching the people on the cameras and through the window so when he goes in Glove box I violated the no customers in the bay rule and say ya you don't want to do that. He nods in agreement and moves on. Manager explained they were going to check the indoor cabin filter but I always decline that in advance now. Hell I didn't even know I had a cabin air filter until then though!
    Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

    Thanks again, doubled. The old cabin filter (VERY easy to replace in a Highlander) was black. The new one is white.
