.357 Sig Ruger Redhawk

The FK BRNO Field Pistol  thread started me thinking about a wildcat Redhawk in .357 sig w/moon clips.

You could load the Sig case to max+ loads. Yes the same can be had in a standard Redhawk in .357 Mag.

Anyone else like this idea ?      A blue N frame would be nice too !

I'm not sure a cartridge (357 Sig) designed to locate via it's shoulder would work well with moon clips.  But, give it a shot and keep us in the loop.

Dan Wesson made super accurate revolvers.  I had a 6" VH Mod. 15-2, .357 that would eat Pythons for lunch!

Not going to work to well as the 357 SIG is a bottleneck cartridge and they don't do well in a revolver.  Bottle necks work great in auto loaders but not too well in revolvers.

The 357 Mag Redhawk is better because you get 8 shots.  What would be better about a 357 Sig Redhawk?

Back in the 60’s a couple of folks tried to make bottled necked cartridges work in a revolver . Anyone remember the 357/44 Bain and Davis ? Even chambered for a while in some Ruger Blackhawks. Didn’t do well due to cases setting back and tying up the action . Still worth a try .

Yes for the .357/.44 B&D.  I actually owned a S&W Mod. 53 in .22 Remington jet ... for a short time.
