Mole hill out of a mound

susiesusie Member Posts: 7,694 ✭✭✭✭

Ran out of light and the skidsteer had to be back at rental shop by 8 this morning. Left enough for the grandkids to play king of the hill. Brother had a huge mud wallow at the end of his lane through the woods. His lane was also in bad shape in spots. I filled in, leveled and packed the dirt. Also took a load to his house and filled in the rut in front of his mailbox. Leveled off the area around my house. Chat driveway was doing a shift so moved the chat around and got it leveled out as well.

Ya got most of it, wife and I rented one of those Bob cats one weekend and leveled off 5 loads of fill dirt, a couple times I almost tipped it trying to ride up the hill to drag the dirt back. The machine seemed to drag the dirt off the pile better then trying to bull doze it or use it like a loader.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I figured you had a lot of things to do with the dirt if you thought is was going to take all day.   Sounds like you got a lot done.
